FIBA 2025 Men’s Asia Cup Qualifiers

The Boomers are taking the battle to Traralgon with fixtures against Indonesia on 20 February and Thailand on 23 February at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium. Australian stars and young guns will be locked in for a final showdown of a dominant 2025 Asia Cup Qualifying campaign.

It’s a benchmark moment for Traralgon with the double-header marking the first major international games featured in the regional city in the Latrobe Valley.

Gippsland has emerged as a basketball hotspot and continues to produce exceptional talent including Olympic bronze medallist Jade Melbourne, Australian Opal representative Jaz Shelley, Melbourne United’s Jack White and coach Dean Vickerman.

Henselite Vic Open

The Henselite Victorian Open is Bowls Victoria’s premier tournament, the second largest Bowls event (behind the Australian Nationals) and amongst the largest and highest profile events in Victoria. Now with over $100,000 in prize money up for grabs, almost double that of 2022.

Since its inception in 2011, the event has become one of the most popular, must-do events for professional and grassroots bowlers alike. 2022 saw a record of 3,854 bowlers attend the event together with hundreds of friends, family members, plus event officials and staff. 2023 saw the event move to it’s new home in Gippsland for 5 years.

A Bowls Australia nationally sanctioned event, the Henselite Victorian Open is open to bowlers of all ages and abilities nationally. Each year participants come from right across Australia and internationally to participate in this high profile, iconic event.
