Carers Lunch

Are you a carer living in Latrobe or the surrounding areas who comes from a culturally and linguistically diverse background?

Join us for a relaxing and enriching afternoon at Carers Victoria’s carer lunch. This event is designed to bring carers together for a much-needed break, offering a supportive environment to connect, learn, and recharge.

Enjoy a delicious lunch after learning about getting your message across, empowering you with the tools to navigate challenging conversations with confidence. You’ll also hear from a guest speaker from Latrobe Community Health Service, who will share valuable insights and resources for carers.

Conference of the Birds

Conference of the Birds artwalk begins in Centenary Park with First Nations' Ceremony, then travels along the Grandridge Rail Trail past musical groups, dance performances & art installations to The Meadows. Here there will be a lantern parade, music & dance followed by a spectacular bonfire. (Wear good walking shoes, rug up well, BYO TORCH & bring something to sit on). The trail is suitable for wheelchairs, prams, bikes & mobility scooters with some small inclines.

Together, the local community will create the art-walk celebrating the natural environment & the valley’s diversity and artistry. It will showcase the many talents in our community & support this creativity as core to our unique arts culture, while celebrating our precious environment.

To take part & participate in the mass dance & or lantern parade at The Meadows, workshops are held every Sunday from 2pm in Boolarra Memorial Hall April – May . There are extra workshops over the school holidays – please check out the website!
