New Australian impact documentary, Conquering Breast Cancer, is screening at Village Cinemas Morwell on Tuesday August 18th at 6:30pm. The screening will be followed by a Q+A discussion led by local health professionals.

In a country where breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer and the most common cancer among women, breast cancer is often seen as a success story, with 5-year survival rates sitting at over 90%. But until there’s a cure, breast cancer is far from ‘solved’.
Presenter Sue Collins takes the audience beyond these statistics to discover how remarkable Australians are changing the world. Weaving together powerful survivor stories, including Olympian Raelene Boyle AM, MBE, basketball champion Paul Maley, and podcaster Dr Charlotte Tottman. Supported by insights from leading medical experts, including Prof Bruce Mann, Prof Kelly-Anne Phillips and A/Prof Christine Chaffer, that highlight the importance of prevention, early detection, treatment, research, clinical trials and the psychological impact this disease has on survivors. Each story challenges complacency and encourages us to come together and strive for this health moonshot.
Conquering Breast Cancer is the third instalment of the Conquering Cancer documentary series, and highlights both the progress made and the work still to be done to find a cure and ensure that no more Australians lose their lives to this disease.
