Young Writers Workshop: The Story of Me

The Story of Me – Discovering Your Story Through Conversation, Creativity and Journalling

Every person has a story worth telling.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi,the art of repairing broken pottery with gold,this workshop encourages young people to see that life’s challengesand everyday experiences can help shape who they are becoming.

Drawing on her own journey as an author and journal coach, Sarah Rosse shares how writing, reflection and meaningful conversations can help us better understand ourselves, build confidence and discover our unique voice. Through stories from her book So, Who Are You Anyway? she demonstrates how asking honest questions can lead to greater self-awareness, resilience and personal growth.

Inspired by the connection-centred philosophy of Kintsugi Heroes and Sarah’s 100 Conversations Initiative, this workshop explores how listening to others, sharing ideas and reflecting on experiences can strengthen our sense of identity and belonging.

The event will include interactive activities, creative journalling, guided conversations and storytelling exercises. Participants will leave with practical tools to express themselves with confidence and recognise that their voice matters.
