Latrobe Aerospace Investment

Drone technology has been part of our lives for several years...

however, for most people its use is largely limited to delivery services, photography and recreational or lifestyle applications.

Recognising the significance and opportunities of AAM, Latrobe City established the Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct (the Precinct), a national Centre of Excellence and Australia’s first integrated location for AAM research, development, and test and evaluation. In addition, the Precinct will integrate renewable energy generation and storage solutions to support zero-emissions operations and demonstrate end-to-end sustainable aviation systems.
