Over the next 12 to 24 months, Australia’s aviation landscape is expected to change significantly with the introduction of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), transforming not only the types and design of aircraft, but also services (including emergency services), industries and public transport.
Recognising the significance and opportunities of AAM, Latrobe City established the Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct (the Precinct), a national Centre of Excellence and Australia’s first integrated location for AAM research, development, and test and evaluation. In addition, the Precinct will integrate renewable energy generation and storage solutions to support zero-emissions operations and demonstrate end-to-end sustainable aviation systems.
