Moe’s history dates back to the 1870s, with the arrival of the railway line from Melbourne. Today, the town is a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas, with shops, cafes, and restaurants, and a range of parks and recreation areas. It's also rich in history and the arts, including Old Gippstown Heritage Park and a multitude of beautiful street art on display.
