The Churchill and District Community Association Inc volunteers will be holding their next Churchill Guided Historical Walk on Sunday 6 September 2026. The town walk is 1.8 kilometres in length and will take approximately two hours (from leaving the cafe).
Your guide will be Rob de Souza-Daw, a Churchill resident and a committee member of both the Churchill & District Community Association and the Morwell Historical Society. Other CDCA members will also be volunteering.
If you would like to participate in this walk and learn about local history, you are asked to book a place by contacting David McInnes on 0409 809 376 as numbers are limited.
Cost for the walk is $15 per head. The walk will not be held if the weather is inclement and the forecasted temperature on the day is over 28ºC. Participants who have booked will be contacted if the walk is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Walkers are asked to be seated inside the Churchill Café & Pizza HQ by 10.15am on the morning of the walk, where prior to the walk, there will be a presentation on the Cafѐ’s 98 inch television of Churchill’s flora and fauna taken by local Field Naturalist Ken Harris followed by photos depicting the development of the town and other photos of the trees to be sighted on the walk.
