Grand Ridge Rail Trail
The Grand Ridge Rail Trail winds 13 picturesque kilometres between Mirboo North and Boolarra in the Strzelecki Ranges.
Highlights include watching the aeroplanes take off and land as you pass the Latrobe Regional Airport and the monument and history panels at Immigration Park beside Kernot Lake.
The pathway connects into the existing path at the top of Kay Street (CBD) in Traralgon and runs right through to the Morwell Railway Station. It provides access for bicycles, pedestrians, and mobility devices, with bridges connecting to concrete surfacing in urban areas and gravel in rural areas.
This project has formed part of the Latrobe City path network which seeks to provide a safe environment where visitors and members of the community can enjoy walking or cycling.
Park benches and drinking fountains are scattered along the path.
